How It Works

MCP Server

The core of Honeycrisp, the MCP server manages AppleScript tools and coordinates requests with secure authentication.

Local Executor

A local component that listens for AppleScript commands and executes them on your Mac with encrypted transport.

AI Clients (Claude, Gemini, etc.)

AI clients communicate with the MCP server using secure API keys to trigger AppleScript actions.

Security & Privacy

Local by Default

AppleScript executes on your Mac via the executor; no scripts run remotely.

Granular Permissions

Scoped API keys with specific permissions and macOS system permissions that can be revoked anytime.

Secure Authentication

Firebase-powered authentication with scoped API keys, encrypted secret storage, and comprehensive audit logging.
